Distinctions "Esteem" - A unique Indonesian coffee extremely popular with those who like a flavourful but still light bodied coffee.
Sulawesi Toraja is grown in the Toraja region in the south-eastern highlands of Sulawesi, an Indonesian island east of Borneo. This area is extremely mountainous and is populated by the Toraja ethnic group. The coffee is grown at extremely high altitudes compared with other coffees from the same region. While most Sumatran coffee is grown as low as 800 meters above sea level, Sulawesi Toraja is grown 1100-1800 meters above sea level. It has an unmistakably musty and earthy flavor. Some may find this unappetizing, but it is a quintessential aspect of the coffee’s makeup.
Unlike Sumatran coffee, which is known for its robust body, Sulawesi beans are light bodied. The light body combined with the low acidity gives the resulting drink a deep and creamy texture and flavor.
In terms of flavor, Sulawesi is beautifully balanced with no single flavor taking too much prominence. When drinking Sulawesi expect to taste notes of ripe fruit, dark chocolate, mushrooms, herbs, and sweet spices. It’s also fairly common to smell an almost cedar wood-like aroma.

All products are roasted to order upon receipt. Shipping is free for any Ontario orders over $49, and free for the rest of Canada over $69. All light roasts require a minimum 16oz/1lb/454g purchase.
For smaller orders, we use a general guideline of $8.00 to Ontario and $10.00 to the rest of Canada. Understand "flat rate shipping" does not exist in Canada and pricing is both dimension and weight based. These rates are rough guidelines and should service most areas. We may possibly assign a shipping surcharge to extremely rural and remote areas and will contact you ahead of time if this is the case. You will have the option of refunding your order in it's entirely or paying the shipping surcharge to have it shipped.
Understand both Canada Post and all courier services have increased turnaround time and have abolished guarantees under the current COVID-19 pandemic, however the average turnaround time is 3-5 days depending on delivery date.
